Is Obama trying to turn America into a dictatorship ?

Friday, January 13th, 2012

WASHINGTON — Barack Obama will ask Congress on Friday for greater power to shrink the federal government, and his first idea is merging six sprawling trade and commerce agencies whose overlapping programs can be baffling to businesses, a senior administration official told The Associated Press. Obama will call on Congress to give him a type of reorganizational power last held by a president when Ronald Reagan was in office. The Obama version would be a so-called consolidation authority allowing him to propose mergers that promise to save money and help consumers. The deal would entitle him to an up-or-down vote from Congress in 90 days. It would be up to lawmakers, therefore, to first grant Obama this fast-track authority and then decide whether to approve any of his specific ideas.

The White House said Obama would address his proposals for government reform Friday morning. The official confirmed the details to the AP on condition of anonymity ahead of the president’s event. In reality Obama is trying to combine all the agencies that control international trade. Something is really suspicious about the timing and the reasons. Obama is trying to gain control and manipulate even more of what goes on behind the scenes before he gets put out of office next year.

Homeland Security Is Monitoring The Drudge Report, The New York Times

Wednesday, January 11th, 2012

It’s unclear exactly why, but the Department of Homeland has been operating a “Social Networking/Media Capability” program to monitor the top blogs, forums and social networks online for at least the past 18 months. Based on a privacy compliance review from last November recently obtained by Reuters, the purpose of the project is to “collect information used in providing situational awareness and establishing a common operating picture.” Whatever that means. Either way, the list of sites reported by Reuters reveals in a Wednesday afternoon exclusive is pretty intriguing:

Social Networks

* Facebook

* Twitter

* Myspace

Blogs

* The Drudge Report

* The Huffington Post

* The New York Times’s Lede blog

* Wired’s Threat Level

* Wired’s Danger Room

* ABC News’ investigative blog The Blotter

* “blogs that cover bird flu … news and activity along U.S. borders … drug trafficking and cybercrime”

Russia shows its Power and test fires two new nuclear missiles

Saturday, December 24th, 2011

MOSCOW – Russia successfully tested on Friday its two new Bulava intercontinental missiles, which experienced several failures in the past. The Defence Ministry said the 12-meter-long Bulava, or Mace, which Moscow aims to make the cornerstone of its nuclear arsenal, was fired from a submarine in the Arctic White Sea and hit the target, a designated polygon, on Kamchatka peninsula in Russia’s far east. “The launch was carried out from the submarine in submerged position in the White Sea,” ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov was quoted by state-run RIA news agency as saying. “Its warheads reached the polygon target on time.”

The missiles carry dummies rather than nuclear warheads as Russia is a signatory of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) which bans all nuclear explosions. The Bulava had failed half of its previous trials, calling into question the expensive missile program. The previous launch in June from the same submarine was a success though. A Bulava missile weighs 36.8 tonnes and can travel a distance of 8,000 km (5,000) miles carrying 6-10 nuclear warheads, which would deliver an impact of up to 100 times the atomic blast that devastated Hiroshima in 1945.

The Death of North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-Il’s means likely Military coup for power

Monday, December 19th, 2011

A military coup is a distinct possibility. The death of Kim Jong-Il has created a power vacuum, and many generals are looking to fill it. There are coups that have been in the works for a long time. That said, Kim Jong-Un is not an idiot like the Western media and agencies like mine have spread as rumor. He is not particularly capable, but he is Kim Jong-Il’s son — he is ruthless and largely unwilling to relinquish power. A military coup against him would divide the country, and coup leaders cannot have that. NK is strong because it is united, and its leaders know this. Any coup would need to be mostly bloodless and garner popular support, likely through moving Kim Jong-Un to a prominent but powerless position. The most likely culprits in this scenario are Kim Jong-Il’s sister, Kim Kyong-hui, and her husband, Chang Sung-taek. Sung-taek has been a prominent figure in North Korea’s leadership since Kim Jong-Il’s stroke in 2008, and Kim Kyong-hui is a high-ranking general with considerable sway. Were they to stage a coup, the situation would likely remain rather stable with few ramifications for South Korea.

A less likely but scarier situation involves China. The Chinese are largely tired of dealing with North Korea, and Korea as a whole. They may make a move to establish power in North Korea. The Chinese already have a great deal of sway in NK due to them being North Korea’s only real supporter. They may manipulate the situation there to consolidate more influence and reign in the North Korean rogue state. While this would be good for the Chinese, it would scare us here in the United States. While I doubt it would come to open conflict, posturing would be made over the issue of Taiwan. The US would likely arm Taiwan, citing a Chinese power grab in North Korea as grounds to prepare for one in Taiwan. The Russians also have a vested interest in the developments in North Korea, because they are a buyer of arms and military technology (particularly of the nuclear sort). They do not want that market to collapse, so they would likely maneuver to prevent instability in North Korea.

The South Koreans are the most important actor here. South Korea wants to retake the region, but they know this would anger the Chinese, Japanese, and US (though they are South Korea’s allies, Japan and the US care more about relations with China than they do about the reunification of Korea). Any action by South Korea to destabilize North Korea will likely result in a swift response from North Korea. North Korea’s leaders know that the best way to consolidate power would be to head North Korea in a military conflict against South Korea. South Korea also knows this, and they also realize the ramifications any action would entail. Internal conflict will, as we see it, be the only outcome. All others will watch closely and carefully, and this will be used as a bargaining chip in the next few weeks. I guarantee there will be a UN Security Council meeting over this and Russia, China, and the US will debate the issue. I would not worry too much. If anything, the situation in North Korea is no more unpredictable than it was before Kim Jong-Il’s death.

Obama administration seals the Documents of the Murdered U.S. Border Patrol Agent

Wednesday, November 30th, 2011

Amazing Government cover-up the hiding of the details of a U.S. Border patrol agent. Sealing of the Document means that it is a secret and the truth is hidden. The transparent government Obama promised is a joke and it is a shame. The MURDERED U.S. Border patrol agents family has a right to know the truth and so does the American people.

The Obama Administration has abruptly sealed court records containing alarming details of how Mexican drug smugglers murdered a U.S. Border patrol agent with a gun connected to a failed federal experiment that allowed firearms to be smuggled into Mexico.

This means information will now be kept from the public as well as the media. Could this be a cover-up on the part of the “most transparent” administration in history? After all, the rifle used to kill the federal agent (Brian Terry) last December in Arizona’s Peck Canyon was part of the now infamous Operation Fast and Furious. Conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the disastrous scheme allowed guns to be smuggled into Mexico so they could eventually be traced to drug cartels.

The murder of a U.S. Border Patrol agent is related to a Justice Department willingly turning over thousands of guns to Mexican criminal gangs, and Obama administration is hiding information about his death from the public.

The Senate votes to keep the Military in charge of all Terrorists

Tuesday, November 29th, 2011

Defying a veto threat from Obama, the Senate voted Tuesday to preserve language that would give the U.S. military a crack at al Qaeda operatives captured in the U.S., even if they are American citizens. Led by Sen. Carl Levin, the Michigan Democrat who chairs the Senate Armed Services Committee, senators voted 61-37 to preserve the language that gives the military custody of al Qaeda suspects, rather than turning them over to law enforcement officials. “We are at war with al Qaeda and people determined to be part of al Qaeda should be treated as people who are at war with us,” Mr. Levin said.

He and Arizona Sen. John McCain, the ranking Republican on his committee, had struck a deal earlier this month on giving the military priority custody, while allowing the administration to waive that and give civilian authorities priority if it deems the waiver in the interests of national security. The White House and its Senate allies objected and tried to block the changes, instead calling for the issue to be studied further.
